Hi, I’m Sara, owner of SATA Kennels.

What started as a love for dogs has grown into a breeding program centered around health, temperament, and lifelong relationships with the families who welcome one of our puppies into their homes.

For nearly a decade, I’ve dedicated myself to raising exceptional South African Boerboels, Yorkshire Terriers, Shorkies, Toy Australian Shepherds, and other companion breeds with an emphasis on responsible breeding and thoughtful puppy development. As a PACFA-licensed breeder, I believe every breeding decision should be made with the future of the breed and the well-being of each puppy in mind.

Our dogs are first and foremost part of our family. They enjoy life on our 26-acre property in western Colorado, where they have room to run, play, and simply be dogs. Puppies are raised with daily interaction, early socialization, and plenty of love to help prepare them for life with their new families.

One of the most rewarding parts of what I do isn’t just raising puppies, it’s watching them grow into beloved family companions, working dogs, therapy dogs, and lifelong best friends. I stay connected with many of my puppy families long after they bring their puppy home because I believe breeder support doesn’t end on pickup day.
